2026 WWBOTA Activity Award
Background
The WWBOTA Activity Award recognizes consistent on-air participation throughout the award period. Unlike the DXCC Awards which focus on collecting entities, the Activity Award rewards operators for the number of calendar days they are active, encouraging regular participation in WWBOTA operations.
This award is based on the same 36 DXCC entities as the WWBOTA DXCC Awards. The number in brackets after each entity name is the unique DXCC entity code assigned by ARRL.

Note on Continental Classifications: This award uses ARRL’s official DXCC continental designations for consistency with the DXCC entity system.
Award Period
Annual Event Structure:
- 2026 WWBOTA Activity Award: March 1 – December 31, 2026 (10 months)
- 2027 WWBOTA Activity Award onwards: January 1 – December 31 annually
- Scores reset at the start of each calendar year (from 2027 onwards)
Scoring System
Activity is measured in calendar days, not number of bunkers worked or activated or number of QSOs. Each calendar day (UTC) on which qualifying activity occurs scores 1 point for that category, regardless of how many bunkers or contacts are made that day.
Simultaneous Scoring: If an operator qualifies for both categories on the same calendar day, that day counts as 1 point for Hunter AND 1 point for B2B.
Award Categories and Tiers
Category 1: HUNTER
Days working bunker stations (1 point per calendar day with at least one qualifying contact in a different DXCC entity to the hunter DXCC entity):
- Bronze: 20 days
- Silver: 40 days
- Gold: 60 days
- Platinum: 80 days
- Diamond: 100 days
- Ruby: 120 days
- Master: 140 days
Category 2: ACTIVATOR B2B (Bunker-to-Bunker)
Days with bunker-to-bunker contacts (1 point per calendar day with at least one qualifying B2B contact with a another bunker activator in a different DXCC entity to the activator):
- Bronze: 10 days
- Silver: 20 days
- Gold: 40 days
- Platinum: 60 days
- Diamond: 80 days
- Ruby: 100 days
- Master: 120 days

Confirmation Requirements
- All contacts must be logged in WWBOTA Logger
- Claims submitted via WWBOTA Logger
Technical Specifications
- Scoring: One point per calendar day (UTC) with qualifying activity
- Multiple contacts per day: Do not add additional points
- Band/Mode: Working the same or different bunkers on multiple bands/modes on the same day still equals 1 point
- Valid date range: Only contacts made within the award period count
Category-Specific Rules
Hunter:
- Each calendar day (UTC) on which you work at least one bunker station in a listed DXCC entity (other than the DXCC entity you are hunting from) = 1 point
- Multiple bunkers worked on the same day = still only 1 point
B2B (Bunker-to-Bunker):
- Each calendar day (UTC) on which you make at least one valid B2B contact = 1 point
- Multiple B2B contacts on the same day = still only 1 point
- Both stations must be operating FROM listed entities (not just working into them)
- The two entities must be different (same entity to same entity does not count)
- Minimum activation requirement: 25 valid QSOs per activation (HF or mixed HF and VHF/UHF) or 10 valid QSOs per activation (VHF/UHF only)
- Verification of both stations’ locations via WWBOTA Logger
Maximum Possible Scores (2026 – 306 days):
- Hunter: 306 days (March 1 – December 31)
- B2B: 306 days (March 1 – December 31)
