SLOVENIA BUNKERS ON THE AIR

Background

S5BOTA is an amateur radio program for activating bunkers in Slovenia by licensed operators to make contacts with other licensed operators world wide. S5BOTA is launched on 01.10.2024 as a part of WWBOTA and S5 Outdoor activity group.

Activity and Participants

  • The main goal of the program is the sole enjoyment of activating and hunting bunkers. 
  • Amateur operators can participate as Activators, Hunters. 
  • SWL (Short wave listeners) are also encouraged to participate. 
  • All bands and modes are valid according to the license of the operators and the regulations in Slovenia. 
  • No repeaters may be used for S5BOTA QSO. 
  • The program is primarily based on personal integrity of the participants. 
  • All S5BOTA activity is the responsibility of the participant. 

Activators

  • The activation zone of bunkers from the reference list is a radius of 1KM 
  • 3 S5BOTA references can be activated at a time and max 3 bunkers per day. 
  • Activators needs to make a minimum of 10 QSOs from the reference to claim that bunker activated at time/day. 
  • Activators can activate on all bands and all modes within their radio licence and observing local laws/ruls/limitations etc… Except contacts in remote mode or via repeaters (UHF,VHF,DMR,Dstar etc..).

Hunters

Every QSO is valid for Hunters and SWLs regardless of whether the Activator achieves the minimum number of QSOs for that activation. 

Logs

Activators, Hunters and SWLs are NOT obligated to send their logs to S5BOTA, however if they wish to apply for awards they should self track their progress on their own and prepare,fill the award request form list with requested form data of worked references,QSO info,etc…  AWARD REQUEST FORM (download link here) to be send on email  :  s5bota@outlook.com 

Awards

S5BOTA issues awards for Activatros/Hunters – in different levels of avicement in electronic format sent via Email : 

  •  5  activated/hunted/heard S5BOTA references 
  • 10 activated/hunted/heard S5BOTA references
  • 25 activated/hunted/heard S5BOTA references
  • 50 activated/hunted/heard S5BOTA references 
  • 100 activated/hunted/heard S5BOTA references 
  • 200 activated/hunted/heard S5BOTA references 
  • and so on every 100 additional new ones
