Spot from
the field

A quick look at how self-spotting works from your phone — built to keep working even when the bunker's got no bars.

1

Get your key

Log in to your WWBOTA account once, on any browser, and generate a personal access key from your account page. Give it a label if you're setting this up on more than one phone.

2 — Connect your phone

Open the self-spot page, enter your callsign and paste in the key. That's it — it stays saved on the device, so this is a once-only step.

3

You're linked

A green dot next to your callsign confirms you're connected. No login screen after this, and nothing that can time out mid-activation.

4 — Log your spot

Fill in your callsign, mode, frequency and the bunker reference. Fields are sized for quick thumb-typing between contacts, not fiddly menus.

5

Send it

Tap Post spot and you're on the cluster in seconds — hunters watching the feed see you straight away.

No signal — spot queued, will send when connected

6 — No signal? It waits.

Deep in a bunker with no bars, your spot is held safely on your phone rather than failing outright. The moment you get signal back, it sends itself — no need to do anything.

Queued — will send when connected

Built for the field

  • Works on iPhone and Android — no app store, no install required
  • Add it to your home screen once and it opens with its own icon, full-screen, just like any other app
  • One login, ever — after that it's just open the app and spot
  • Opens straight to the spot screen even with zero bars — nothing to load, nothing to wait for
  • Works with patchy or no signal — nothing gets lost
  • Same cluster everyone else already watches — no separate feed
