WWBOTA Logger — Multi-Bunker Upload (Alpha Test Guide)

What’s new

One upload now handles multi-fer activations (up to 5 bunkers). No more uploading your log separately for each bunker if you activated a 5-fer.

⚠️ Test mode

Nothing you upload goes into the real WWBOTA database yet. Uploads are simulated — you’ll see a normal success message, but it’s safe to test freely. You must be logged in to upload a log.

Simplicity

  1. If you are happy with your log then just 4 click or taps and your log is uploaded to the WWBOTA!
  2. Accepts vanilla ADIF files from any logging program.
  3. Easy to add additional bunkers, easy to edit individual QSO
  4. The uploader is multi-lingual with Google Translate support

How to use it

  1. Click Upload Activation Log.
  2. Select your ADIF file.
  3. A popup asks which bunker(s) you activated — up to 5. If one was found in your file it’s pre-filled; check it, and add more if it was a multi-fer. It will accept multiple activated bunker in your upload if the corect field has a comma seperated list.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. You’ll see a summary (QSOs → log entries) with three buttons:
    • View / edit my log — see and correct every entry before sending.
    • Confirm and send to database — submit (simulated, in test mode).
    • Close without sending — cancel.

A note for mobile phone users

  • Uploading a log from a mobile phone, even in portrait mode is easy! Just follow the prompts.
  • Editing a log on a mobile phone is possible but large tables on a small screen can be tricky, we have provided a horizontal scroll bar. We recommend editing logs on a larger screen.

What to test – real or dummy logs

  • A normal single-bunker log (should work exactly as before).
  • A multiple bunker activation (up to 5-fer)
  • A log with Bunker-to-Bunker (B2B) contacts, including multi-fer to multi-fer.
  • Editing and deleting rows — try both a normal row and one from a multi-fer (you’ll be asked to confirm if a change affects more than one record).
  • Uploading a file with no bunker reference at all.

Thanks so much for helping us test this — it genuinely makes a difference. Here’s a quick guide to help your feedback go as far as possible.

The one big thing

Tell us what happened, not just how it felt. Both are useful, but “what happened” is what actually gets things fixed.

❌ “Logging is complicated.” ✅ “I uploaded a 3-fer log and only got credit for one bunker.”

Don’t worry about getting the wording perfect — just give us the details as best you can, and we’ll take it from there.

What’s helpful to include

  1. What you did — e.g. “uploaded an ADIF with 15 QSOs, 2 bunkers”
  2. What you expected — e.g. “expected to see both bunkers in the summary”
  3. What actually happened — e.g. “only one bunker showed up”
  4. A screenshot, if you have one handy — always appreciated!

Bug or suggestion? Let us know which

  • Bug: something broke, or didn’t behave the way it should
  • Suggestion: it works, but you’ve got an idea to make it better – note that we welcome good ideas, but they may not be feasible to include in the first release

Both are genuinely welcome — the label just helps us prioritise.

One thing per message

If you spot a few different things, a few short messages beat one big one. Easier for us to track, and nothing gets lost in the mix.

A gentle note

Things like “it doesn’t work” or “bit confusing” are totally understandable reactions, but they don’t give us much to go on. If you can add a line on what felt off, that’s gold dust for us.
